Privacy Policy

General information

The Lithuanian Fund for Nature (hereinafter referred to as the "Data Controller") establishes the terms and conditions for processing personal data when using websites managed by the Data Controller (hereinafter referred to as the "PT"). These terms apply each time you access the content and/or services provided by the Data Controller, regardless of the device used (computer, mobile phone, tablet, etc.).

Supervising Authorities

The State Enterprise Register Center collects and stores data about the data controller.
 

It is important that you carefully read the Terms of Service (TOS), because each time you visit websites or social media accounts owned by the Data Controller, you agree to the terms described in the TOS. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not visit our websites or social media accounts or use our content and/or services.

We confirm that visitor data will be collected in accordance with the applicable legal requirements of the European Union and the Republic of Lithuania, as well as the instructions of the relevant authorities. We apply all reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect the data we collect from visitors from loss, unauthorized use, and alteration.

Data controller employees are contractually obligated not to disclose or distribute workplace information, including information about website visitors, to third parties.

Individuals under the age of 16 may not provide personal data for marketing activities through our websites or social media accounts. If you are under 16 years of age, you must obtain your parents' or legal guardians' consent before providing personal information for marketing purposes.

The terms used in the Rules shall be understood as defined in General Data Protection Regulation No. 2016/679 (EU).

What information do we collect about you? How do we use your information?

We collect information you provide directly.

Our websites and social media accounts give you the opportunity to provide information directly to us. For example, on the lgf.lt website, we ask you to provide certain information about yourself (email) if you would like to receive our news.

Who do we share your information with?

We will disclose your information to the following entities:

- other data controllers belonging to the Lithuanian Nature Foundation;

- to other parties when required by law or necessary to protect the services we provide.

Cases when we may disclose your information to other parties:

- in order to comply with the law or in response to a mandatory legal process requirement (e.g., upon receipt of a lawful warrant or order to conduct a search or other court order);

- to confirm the legality of their actions;

- to protect the Data Controller;

- in other cases with your consent or at your legitimate request.

Cases when we will transfer information

Based on your consent, we may transfer your personal data to another data recipient to whom you have given consent to process personal data for the purpose specified in the consent.

What do we do to protect your information?

We have implemented reasonable and appropriate physical, organizational and technical measures to protect the information we collect for the purposes of providing the content/services. However, please remember that while we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no website, online transaction, computer system or wireless connection is completely secure.

Your rights

The data subject whose data is processed by the Data Controller has the following rights:

- to know (be informed) about the processing of your data (right to know);

- to have access to your data and how it is processed (right of access);

- to request the correction or, taking into account the purposes of personal data processing, the completion of incomplete personal data of the person (right to rectification);

- to destroy your data or to stop the processing of your data (except for storage) (right to destruction and right to be forgotten);

- to require the Data Controller to restrict the processing of personal data on one of the legitimate grounds (right to restriction);

- the right to data portability (right to portability);

- the right to object to the processing of his/her personal data or to withdraw his/her consent to the processing of his/her personal data at any time for one or more specific purposes, without affecting the lawfulness of the processing based on consent until the withdrawal of consent.

The data controller may not create conditions for data subjects to exercise the above rights when, in cases provided for by law, it is necessary to ensure the prevention, investigation and detection of crimes, violations of official or professional ethics, as well as the protection of the rights and freedoms of the data subject or other persons.

Third-party websites, services, and products on our website

The Data Controller's website(s) or social media accounts may contain third-party banners, links to their websites and services, which the Data Controller does not control. The Data Controller is not responsible for the security and privacy of information collected by third parties. You should be careful and read the privacy policies applicable to third-party websites and services that you use.

Final provisions

These TOS are reviewed at least once every two years. When we update the TOS, we will inform you of what we consider to be material changes by posting a notice on the relevant website(s) or social media accounts. If you access or use our content and/or services after such notice is posted, we will assume that you agree to the new terms and conditions set out in the update. The latest version of the TOS is always available on lgf.lt.
